Retriever Training:
Paragon Retrievers will train your retriever to the level you desire. We have access to hundreds of
acres of land and water, varying from easy to the most difficult.
 
Retrieving:
Paragon Retrievers will work with your pup on the skills a working retriever needs. We start with the fundamentals and progress onward. We use hand thrown dummies and Retriever Specialists launchers. Starting with singles we will work your retriever up to multiples. After the retriever is proficient with simple retrieves, we will move on to three handed casting.  Again, slowly moving up in distance.
 
Your retriever will also go through the following principals:

  4. Force to pile

Our Services
Obedience Training:
Obedience is the foundation of all dog training. From Police K-9’s to well behaved house dogs, obedience training is the base on which everything else is built. Obedience starts as soon as pup is brought home. Paragon Retrievers can board and train or offers one on one sessions with owner and dog. Your dog will learn sit, stay, heel, and come commands both on and off lead. We can also collar condition obedience commands if the clients so chooses. Since not all dog owners use an e-collar that choice is up to individual clients. Paragon Retrievers uses Tri-Tronics Pro 500 e-collars.
 
Puppy Training:
Puppy training can be accomplished as weekly sessions with the owner with homework assignments or can be left with us for the basics for six to eight weeks. We will cover the basic obedience you want your pup to have before moving on to basic retrieving skills. At this time we will also introduce pups to feathers, loud noises, other dogs and socialized to people.
